Returns & exchanges

At Blak Swan, we pour love into every stitch, hoping you feel just as special wearing our pieces as we felt creating them. That said, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out—and that’s okay. 

This Return & Exchange Policy is here to guide you through your options should you need to make a change. By making a purchase, you’re agreeing to the terms outlined here.

Eligibility for Return for Exchange

All outfits must be returned: 

  • Unworn and unwashed.
  • With all original tags still attached.
  • In all correct and original packaging.
  • No smell of perfume, deodorant, makeup or washing powder.

Returns will not be accepted if the item shows signs of wear, including marks from makeup, deodorant, fake tan, or similar.

Blak Swan 14-Day Exchange Policy

Please note, we do not offer refunds for returns, including those due to change of mind or sizing. However, we’re happy to provide an exchange or store credit so that you can re-purchase a new item of your choice.

We reserve the right to refuse any returns which do not meet our return policy requirements.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Initiation of the Return

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  • To request an exchange, please contact us at hey@blakswan.com within 14 days of receiving your order, mentioning the name on your order and the order number. In your request, please mention the item(s) you would like to exchange, and the desired replacement size(s). 
  • If your return is approved, our Customer Care team will provide you with the return address. 
  • Once received, please follow the steps below to complete the process: Ensure the exchange item(s) are in the eligible conditions mentioned above. Pack all items in the manner they were received including all packaging materials.
  • Email us at hey@blakswan.com to arrange for collection of returnsBlak Swan is not responsible for return shipping costs.
  • You will be issued in store credit for the full amount of your returned item(s).  Original shipping costs is non-refundable once purchased, regardless of any returns.
  • You can now easily re-purchase an alternative item, or the same item in a different size) after receiving your store credit.
  • If you have received a faulty item or you believe your order is faulty, please contact us immediately. (Please note that the Blak Swan Warehouse undertakes strict quality control on every item prior dispatch and upon receiving return).
  • You can exchange an order once.

Please take due care when trying on any products. (Items that are manually defected or do not comply with our returns policy will be declined and returned to the customer at their own expense).

Time Frame

Request processing: Once we receive your exchange request by email, a member of our team will respond within 2–3 working days with the next steps.

Return shipping: Once your request is approved, you may proceed to send the item back. Returns usually take up to 10 working days to reach us.

Quality check: Once your parcel arrives, please allow 2–3 working days for us to complete a quality check and approve your return.

Exchange dispatch: Once approved, your exchange will be carefully packed and shipped out to you.

Total timeframe: From your first email to receiving your new outfit, please allow approximately 3–5 weeks.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • If you are unsure about your size while purchasing for the first time with us and your event is around the corner, we recommend you purchase two of the same item in different sizes, keep the best fitting outfit and return the other. We will gladly issue you credit store which you can use later for your next purchase.  Only the return shipping fee for your return item is not reimbursed.
  • Be sure to use the delivery company for returning your items for the best service and tracking ID. Blak Swan is not held responsible for lost/damaged returns in transit.

ASSESSING THE RETURN

  • Returned products will be assessed upon arrival to ensure they comply with our returns policy.
  • Non-returnable items and/or returned items which do not comply with our returns policy will not be accepted and will be returned back to the customer.

PRE-ORDER POLICY

Please read each product description carefully, where we will include any pre-order information. We are not laibale if you order one of pre-order products without first checking estimated dispatch date.

Pre-Order Cancellation Policy

Every Blakswan pre-order is reserved from our first limited production run.

If you need to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours of purchase at hey@blakswan.com with your order number.

After this window, your piece may already be allocated for production, meaning we may no longer be able to cancel or amend your order.

Before placing your order, please ensure your size, shipping address, and estimated delivery window are correct.

Approved cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
